RIL to invest INR 5000 crore in West Bengal: Mukesh Ambani

RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani stated that it will invest INR 5000 crore investment in expanding telecom and petro-retail businesses in West Bengal, according to reports.

At the Bengal Global Business Summit, Ambani reportedly said that his company Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) had committed an investment of INR 4500 crore in the state, but has ended up investing INR 15000 crore.

“We are committing to invest another INR 5000 crore in Jio and the entire digital eco-system, retail and retro-retail in the next few years,” Ambani was quoted as saying.

Report also says that Mukesh Ambani has given compliments to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee saying that under her leadership “West Bengal is becoming Best Bengal!”
