The Chennai based co-working space provider Workafella plans to enter the Western markets while expanding its presence in Southern India.
Chennai based co-working space provider Workafella has announced its plans to grow three times its present size by the end of 2019. Currently, the co-working space provider has 9,000 fully functional operational seats and 6000 seats in fit-out stage in four cities – Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Mumbai. Workafella is now looking at entering New Delhi and NCR with plans to also venture into tier two cities.

Speaking on the acquisition Mr. Rattha said, “We are ecstatic about Hi-Street which is something that we have been working towards for a while. We are all set to achieve our goal of growing three times in size to become one of the largest co-working space provider in India, launch of Hi-street is a beginning. In line with this we are planning on entering newer markets in the north and western region while further strengthening our presence in the south. Our aim to be at 25,000 seats by 2020 and I am happy to say that we are very much on track to achieve that goal.”
Workafella also offers custom built spaces for their customers and owing to the demand for the same, Workafella will now offer enterprise model for larger companies. This model essentially will be targeted towards companies that have over a 100 employees. Workafella’s plan is to enter the corporate space provider category in their upcoming projects.
