Sensex ends 35,000 mark, Nifty above 10,750 levels

Indian equity indices ended on a higher note crossing 35,000 mark, while Nifty ended nearly 10,700 levels.

Sensex ended 35,000 mark for the first time ever.

Sensex was higher by 310 points at 35,081 , While Nifty surged by 88 points at 10,788.

The S&P BSE Mid-cap and small cap index was higher.

The government reduced the additional borrowing requirement for the current fiscal to INR 20,000 crore from INR 50,000 crore estimated earlier.

Hindustan Unilever Limited announced its results for the quarter ending 31st December 2017.EBITDA margin was up 110 bps and Net Profit at Rs.1326 Crores grew by 28%.

Adani Power Ltd posted results for the quarter and three months ended 31st December, 2017.The consolidated total revenue for the quarter was INR 4,916 crore. The units sold during Q3 FY18 were 12,633 MUs as compared to 14,897MUs during Q3 FY17.
