Magenta Power announces the launch of its ‘Grow Green’ initiative for sapling plantation

Magenta Power, one of the leading service providers of renewable energy solutions announces its ‘Grow Green Initiative’ at Pan India Level for the Sapling Plantation. As a part of the initiative, For every Solar Panel installed in every home, Magenta pledges to plant a sapling. With this program, Magenta aims to create greater awareness among people towards use of clean energy in urban areas, reiterating Brand’s commitment to early adoption of green solutions.

The very unique program brings joint activation, taking the Pledge of sustainability, making a public commitment to reduce the environmental impact together. Magenta Power hopes to encourage people to reduce their carbon footprints to reap savings in power consumption and energy costs. Magenta Power also aims to shift the perspective towards solar-based technologies and make homes more efficient, by reducing the dependency of urban households on conventional power sources. The focus of the campaign is to create a far-reaching impact for the society in terms of adoption of solar energy.

On the sidelines of the announcement, Maxson Lewis, CEO and Managing Director of Magenta Power, mentioned “This is the first program of its kind to establish a commitment to a set of environmental initiatives. While installing solar on your rooftops and generating your own electricity has a charm of its own, planting a sapling, allows the emotional connection to the green initiative. Going solar reduces your carbon footprint, additionally planting a sapling, also reduces the perceived carbon footprint of manufacturing solar panels. This helps us go completely carbon negative”

As an extension to the Grow Green Initiative, Magenta has also explored the program in-house with employees; which includes a collection of hard to recycle items, waste reduction and ways to incorporate sustainable practices into daily work. With this initiative, the Brand has encouraged several households around to take the first green step.
