Tata Steel reports 10% increase in sales to 3.3 million tonne

 

Tata Steel has registered a 10% increase in sales in Oct-Dec 2017 (Q3FY18) to 3.3 million tonne (mt).

The company achieved 2X growth YoY in the engineering segment of Industrial Products & Construction business.

In ‘Automotive & Special Products’, the company achieved its highest ever quarterly sales with a growth of 6% QoQ and 26% YoY.

The sinter plants at Tata Steel, Jamshedpur achieved best-ever Q3 production of 2.11 million tonne in FY18.

Tata Steel is currently the world’s second-most geographically diversified steel producer. It is one of the few steel operations that are fully integrated – from mining to the manufacturing and marketing of finished products.

The company operate in 26 countries and have a commercial presence in over 50 countries with employees across five continents.
