Nifty above 10,800 levels

Indian equity indices opened on a higher note crossing 35,000 mark, while Nifty was above 10,800 levels.

Sensex was higher by 310 points at 35,352 , While Nifty surged by 76 points at 10,864.

The S&P BSE Mid-cap and small cap index was higher.

Yesterday, government reduced the additional borrowing requirement for the current fiscal to INR 20,000 crore from INR 50,000 crore estimated earlier.

Shares of Mindtree Ltd surged 8% at Rs. 672.The Revenue stood at INR 13,777 million (growth of 3.5% q-o-q / 6.4% y-o-y), while Net profit was at INR 1,415 million (growth of 13.4% q-o-q / 37.2% y-o-y).

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has bagged INR.2,800 Crore order for setting up a 660 MW coal-based thermal power project with supercritical parameters in Maharashtra.
