Indian equity indices opened on a positive note, while Nifty reclaimed nearly 10,500 mark.
Sensex was higher by 200 points at 34,171 , While Nifty was up by 49 points at 10,554.
The S&P BSE Mid-cap and small cap index was up by 1%.
Idea, RCOM, IFCI, IOB were the major gainers, while ONGC, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors were the major losers
Wall Street were higher. Dow industrials was above the 25,000 level for the first time.
Shares of RCOM was higher by 5% at Rs. 34.Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani reportedly said that the “new” Reliance Communications (RCOM) will be “capex light” and emerge as India’s largest B2B (business-to-business) entity that is “focussed on the global and enterprise business”.
