ah! Ventures has invested in a knowledge-sharing platform Tealfeed through its First Gear Platform.

It’s 2021. In this era of information overload, people are spending more time finding relevant information than actually consuming it. As brands become more and more competitive to get the users’ attention in the digital world, the focus is shifting away from providing people with content that could help them grow in their personal and professional life.

We are drowning in information but starving for knowledge.

Tealfeed is building a knowledge sharing platform that keeps people’s feed informative, connects people of similar interests, empowers creators by monetizing their content, and connects them with right market opportunities. Launched in May 2021 by Rohit Garg & Sourabh Kaushik, it currently has 4000+ creators on the platform creating content on a variety of topics ranging from technology, business and entrepreneurship to psychology, self-care and personal growth. Tealfeed is garnering traction by attracting established content platforms and renowned personalities. The Tealfeed team is planning to soon introduce a chat feature followed by the integration of videos, podcasts and short-form content.

Rohit Garg, Co-founder said “People in a society behave according to the norms of the society. People tend to do things that provide them rewards and shy away from doing things that might punish them. An online platform is no different. Through Tealfeed, we intend to democratize knowledge and build an online community where creators have incentives and motivation to create content that adds value,”

“By the end of 2021, we plan to reward quality content creators through monetization and connections with brands for paid opportunities. This drives us forward on the path of achieving a truly sustainable platform for knowledge sharing. We are thrilled to partner with ah! Ventures and would like to thank them for believing in us. Their domain expertise and approach has strengthened our vision to democratize knowledge and has helped us take a big step forward towards building a platform for the creators” Rohit added.

Amit Kumar, Partner, ah! Ventures said “The pandemic has forced people to move everything online and that has resulted in a quicker transition into the creator’s economy. And, to truly empower the creators in this new normal, it’s crucial to provide them with a setup where they have more control over what kind of content they want to showcase on their profile, how they want to monetize their content and followers, and how they choose to interact with their audience. We are delighted to be a part of Tealfeed’s exciting journey and look forward to it becoming the platform of choice for ever increasing creators”.

This is ah! Ventures’ 76th investment (in 60 Startups) and 13th investment in 2021. ah! Ventures plans to do 50+ investments in 2021 totalling to INR 150+ CR (~21MN US$).
